| Neurotic Jessica, who works as a writer at a New York newspaper, can't seem to find the right guy. She comes across an ad of a person who seems perfect, only, she's a woman. After disastrous dates with all kinds of weird guys, she decides to meet with this woman. The developments are heartwarming, funny and above all, credible. Unfortunately also in this otherwise good film is a seemingly unavoidable stereotype (homosexual man that disapproves of a bisexual or bicurious woman). Fortunately this film doesn't waste time with other useless superficial clichés. Also, the Jewish scene, although prevalent, doesn't degrade the film. On the dvd, some of the deleted scenes are worthwhile. |
