| This film tells the story of Belle van Levert who prefers to play with maid Marthe rather than play with boys. When she grows up, she starts to work in a shop for fur and leather, breaks up with Marthe, starts her own business, marries a boy who works in a bakery. Successful in society, but impoverished in a much desired and missed spiritual life, renders her arrogant and bitter. A very simple black-and-white film made with a very low budget which teaches the lesson that you should follow your heart and do today what you can do today. A film for girls. |
