Eve Harrington, an ambitious actress and fan of successful but deteriorating Broadway legend Margo Channing, cunningly moves herself into her life as personal help and that of her friends writer and director Richards and Sampson. Deviously she takes over her agenda and reaches her goal as star. Brilliant dialogues. Eve was originally written as a lesbian - savvy audiences can detect traces of that intent in the film.
