The Battle of Berlin, 1943/1944. Felice Schragenheim is an intelligent, courageous lesbian Jewish woman, a club dancer and nude model, who lives under the false name Jaguar and she belongs to an underground organization. Lilly Wust is a devoted mother of four, though an occasional unfaithful wife, and desperate for (female) love, while her husband is away at the war front. A passionate love between them blossoms despite the danger of war and prosecution. The Gestapo is on Felice's trail. Her friends flee, but she decides to sit out the war with Lilly. One hot day in August 1944, the Gestapo is waiting in Lilly's flat. Unfortunately the plot is not worked out as well as could be. Still, though romanticized, a beautiful and spectacular film, full of action, well acted, based on the memoirs of Lilly Wust, who was still alive in Berlin at the time the film was released. Jaguar got killed during the war.
