| Lesbian real estate agent Stella marries unemployed homosexual Belgian immigrant Albert, who becomes her cook and housekeeper, in order to prevent deportation from Los Angeles in the late 1970's. Alcohol abuse during a birthday party renders her pregnant from him. When Albert pursues a career as fashion designer, she puts hers on hold. Contains many clichés about role reversal, marriage and pregnancy but given the time it was released it's actually not bad. |
